Instructions to authors

Oral presentations and poster presentations given at the 10th International Meeting on Cholinesterases  (Šibenik, Croatia;  20.-25. September 2009) will be published in a special issue of the journal Chemico-Biological Interactions CBI. The publisher of CBI is Elsevier.

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the instructions given below and the CBI Guide for Authors.

Submitted manuscripts should be either full-length papers or short communications, but not abstracts or extended abstracts. Manuscripts should preferably be submitted prior to the Meeting, but must be submitted not later than three weeks after the end of the Meeting (15 October 2009).

Preparation of manuscripts

A full-length MS may have up to 25 typed pages, and a short communication up to 10 typed pages. One typed page means A4 size paper, double-spaced, Arial 12 pt in Microsoft Word. All manuscripts must include an abstract (up to 200 words) and 3-6 keywords. The number of tables and figures must be kept to a minimum. References should be numbered and listed in the order they appear in the text.

Manuscripts should preferably, but not necessarily, be divided into the usual headings: introduction, experimental, results, discussion and conclusions. Figures and tables should have self-contained legends. Tables, figures and legends should be sent as a separate file in TIFF, EPS or PDF format. Reproduction of figures in colour will be charged to the author.

Submission of manuscripts

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through EES, the Elsevier online submission site. When submitting a manuscript to be considered in the special issue, select the Article Type: “Special Issue: 10th ChE”.

Manuscripts will be reviewed before publication by a minimum of two referees.

Correspondence between authors and CBI

The corresponding author will be given a reference number for the manuscript which will be used in further correspondence. The guest editor will inform the corresponding author about the reviewing process and handle all other appropriate correspondence.
